NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
The Tennessee Titans announced on Thursday afternoon they have reached a multi-year contract extension with cornerback Jack McCourty.
The deal, reportedly worth $43 million, will keep McCourty with the Titans through the 2017 season.
McCourty, who was a sixth-round pick by Tennessee in 2009, has played 42 games, starting in 24 of those.
In 2011, McCourty set a career high and ranked second on the squad with 107 tackles.
The 25-year-old scored his first touchdown last season against the Colts.
The Titans take on the Arizona Cardinals during their first home preseason game on Thursday night.
