Mother arrested after son born with drugs in system - WKRN, Nashville News, Nashville Weather and Sports

A Clarksville mother was served with an indictment for child abuse and neglect after her son was born with illegal drugs in his system last month.

Police said Chelsea Steelman gave birth on July 3.

It was discovered at the time of the baby's birth both he and 23-year-old Steelman had the same illegal drug in their systems.  

Steelman was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $1,000 bond on Thursday morning.
