Downed power lines force road closures in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

Downed power lines have forced road closures in Franklin on Thursday afternoon.

Franklin police reported Mack Hatcher Parkway between Liberty Pike and Murfreesboro Road, as well as Liberty Pike between Ralston Lane and Mack Hatcher Parkway are closed.

The closures were reported around 2 p.m.

Police said the downed lines were caused by a semi truck.

Authorities added that traffic signals in the area are also affected.

It was not immediately known when the roadways would be reopened.
