Titans ready for Jake Locker to get offense into air

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Now that Jake Locker has the job as Tennessee's starting quarterback, the Titans want him to start throwing the ball more.

Locker gets his chance Thursday night at home when Tennessee plays Arizona in its third exhibition game. The second-year quarterback is 11 of 24 for 101 yards with one interception and a passer rating of 40.5 through two games.

Coach Mike Munchak says they definitely want to get Locker and the receivers going after little success in the first two games. The coach says they want to get that started in the first half along with the offense putting together some drives.

The Cardinals (1-2) will start John Skelton as they try to settle on a starting quarterback.
