Suspect wanted in Hendersonville Walmart thefts

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. -

Hendersonville police are working to identify the man who stole televisions from the Walmart store located on North Anderson Lane on two different occasions.

The first theft occurred on August 18 around 12:20 p.m. and the second, two days later, on August 20, shortly before 10 a.m.

In both instances, police said the suspect, a white male, entered the store and walked straight to the electronics section, loaded up televisions and left the store through the grocery side.

The suspect is believed to be driving a Ford Windstar Van with gray trim on the bottom or a greenish color Honda Odyssey Van.

"As far as we can tell, there is someone driving the van. He is the one taking the property and loading it up," Det. Christopher Gagnon said.

Police believe the man is also responsible for a similar theft at the Walmart in Ashland City.

"It's pretty typical, especially when you get into habitual shoplifters," Gagnon said. "They're not just going to hit our Walmart, they're going to hit Walmarts in other areas."

Anyone with information on the suspect or his identity is urged to call Hendersonville police at 615-264-5303 or Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at 615-573-5400.
