CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A verbal argument between neighbors in Clarksville turned physical early Tuesday morning, resulting in the arrests of six people.

Police said the chain of events began around 12:30 a.m. when Charles Clemons was assaulted in the front yard of his home located at 913 Power Street by Ryan Kobold, a neighbor.

The confrontation escalated and moved into Clemons' home where Kobold and two others, Michael Moore and Cedric Grooms, forced their way in and assaulted another man.

After the assault, police said Moore, 33, and Kobold, 30, fled in a vehicle with two women, Ashley Jones and Helena Kobold.

Grooms, 31, retreated to his house next door.

Police arrived and quickly located and arrested Grooms.

A short time later, after police left, Moore, Ryan Kobold, and another man, Colton Jones, 21, returned to the Power Street home and started beating on the outside of the residence, threatening to enter and harm the occupants.

Police once again returned to the neighborhood and took Moore, Ryan Kobold, and Colton Jones in custody.

Ashley Jones, 24, and Helena Kobold, 29, were also arrested for lying to police about the initial location of the men.

All four male suspects face a variety of charges including aggravated burglary and aggravated assault.
