NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Saint Thomas Health System announced Tuesday afternoon the company plans to eliminate 150 jobs at two area hospitals in an effort to cut costs.

According to Climer more than half of the positions being eliminated have been vacant for several months.
"In looking at our most current restructure, more than half of the positions affected were already vacant," she explained. "We also eliminated positions that had been vacant and posted for more than six months."
