Country artist Phil Vassar will perform during Titans home games this season.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Country artist Phil Vassar will perform at each home game during the Titans upcoming season, the team announced Monday.
Vassar joined Titans' Vice President Don MacLachlan for the announcement on the new concert stage at LP Field. The stage is part of a multi-million dollar improvement project the stadium underwent during the off season.
The stage sits above the main concourse on the north end of the stadium.
"We're going to do a lot of things in the stadium to bring the fan excitement level to an all time high," MacLachlan said.
Vassar added, "The Titans are already a big draw. We're just going to have fun."
Other upgrades to the facility include new high-definition LED video screens, a new sound system with an additional 800 speakers and two banks of high speed elevators.
The nearly $27 million project is, in part, being paid for out of a new $2 stadium ticket tax.
The Titans are 1-1 in the preseason and take on Arizona at home Thursday night. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
The team opens the regular season at home against the New England Patriots on September 9.
