Annette Drayon, 28, was charged with child abuse and neglect.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
Police charged a Clarksville mother Monday morning with leaving her three young children home alone.
Twenty-eight-year-old Annette Drayton told police she left the children, ranging in age from nine months to three years, alone for about 30 minutes while she took her five-year-old child to school.
Officers reported Drayton returned to the home located in the 1100 block of Peachers Mill Road nearly 15 minutes after they arrived.
Police said the children activated an alarm in the home after Drayton left, alerting police, EMS and fire rescue crews to respond to the home.
Drayton was charged with child abuse and neglect and booked into the Montgomery County jail on a $5,000 bond.
The children are now in the custody of a family member.
