Body pulled from Cumberland River in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The body recovered from the Cumberland River in Nashville early Monday morning may be that of the man who committed suicide Saturday night by jumping off the Two Rivers Greenway pedestrian bridge.

Metro police said witnesses saw the man go from the bridge into the water around 8:15 p.m.

Rescue and recovery efforts were unsuccessful Saturday night.

Police said efforts are underway to positively identify the victim.
