An 18-year-old man was shot and killed early Friday afternoon in east Nashville.
Officers responded to the call around 1:15 p.m. in the 100 block of North Sixth Street off Main Street.
The victim, who has been identified as Marcus Lawrence, suffered two gunshot wounds to the chest.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Metro's gang unit is investigating.
Police spokesperson Kristin Mumford said officers are looking for four males who fled the scene in a tan or gold Chevrolet Suburban.
Police said two men exited the vehicle and opened fire before fleeing in the SUV.
The two gunmen are described as black males in their teens or 20s with dreadlocks.
