NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Two people were injured when a pickup truck crashed into a Papa John's north of Nashville Friday.
The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. at the restaurant located at 136 Gallatin Pike South off Old Hickory Boulevard in Madison.
According to witnesses, the driver was going to a bank next door and, for reasons unknown, accelerated forward and into the building.
A female employee inside the restaurant at the time was hit.
Both she and the driver were transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The truck has been towed from the scene.
Papa John's is closed and will remain closed until the wall can be repaired later on Friday.
