1 dead in fiery State Route 840 crash

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -

A 41-year-old Spring Hill man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on State Route 840 in Williamson County midday Thursday.

The wreck was reported just before Noon at mile marker 37 near Arno Road, east of Interstate 65.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Stephen Shouse was traveling westbound on State Route 840 when, for reasons unknown, he ran off the road, went into median and struck a concrete bridge pillar.

The impact caused his car to burst into flames.

Shouse died on the scene.

He was positively identified through fingerprints, the THP said.
