Honey Badger could return to LSU

Less than a week after being kicked off the LSU football team Tyrann Mathieu could be coming back in 2013.

LSU coach Les Miles said Tuesday Mathieu definitely will not play for the Tigers this season, but did not close the door on Mathieu returning next year.

When Mathieu was dismissed on last Friday, reportedly for repeated failed drug tests, Miles said he expected Mathieu to transfer and play this season at the second-tier FCS level.

He reportedly spoke with McNeese State.

The Tigers open the season September 1 against North Texas.
