NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Two planes collided on the ground at the Nashville International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.

Officials told Nashville's News 2 at the time of the incident, one of the planes was being towed when it got loose and drifted into the second plane.

One of the planes involved in the accident is a passenger corporate jet owned by Bank of American and leased by Heinz.

Officials said the plane had flown Heinz employees to a meeting in Nashville.

No one was on board either of the planes when the collision occurred.

Michael Mullen VP of Corporate Affairs for Heinz said in a statement Tuesday afternoon, "Heinz is launching a thorough investigation into the incident and we are cooperating fully with the FAA and officials. Safety is paramount at Heinz and we are taking this matter seriously."

Airport spokesperson Emily Richard said the incident had no impact on incoming or outgoing flights.

No additional information was released.
