Pleasant View man found beaten

PLEASANT VIEW, Tenn. -

Authorities are investigating after a man was found badly beaten outside his home in Pleasant View, Cheatham County.

The victim's wife found her husband Tuesday morning in the yard of their home on Pinnacle Road and called police, Kristin Helm, spokesperson for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said.

The man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

His condition wasn't immediately known.

Pleasant View police and the TBI are on the scene investigating.
