
Former Vanderbilt star Mike Minor was good, just not good enough.
Minor took his ninth loss of the season in the Atlanta Braves 4-1 loss to the San Diego Padres Monday night at Turner Field.
Minor went six innings giving up three runs on nine hits, he also struck out three. He was touched for a run in the second, fifth and sixth innings before leaving the game with the Braves down 3-0.
For the Padres it was their eighth win in 10 games.
Chase Headley hit his 19th homerun of the season for San Diego.
