Albert Ridgeway was arrested for domestic assault on Sunday afternoon.

A Metro police officer was decommissioned following his arrest on Sunday for domestic assault.
According to police, patrol officer Albert Ridgeway was taken into custody after he allegedly pushed his girlfriend down several times during an argument at their Mt. Juliet home.
The victim reportedly left the home and went to the Mt. Juliet Police Department to speak with officers.
Thirty-six-year-old Ridgeway was booked into the Wilson County jail Sunday afternoon.
He has since been released.
Ridgeway was a six-year veteran officer assigned to the Central precinct.
Also on Sunday, off-duty rookie probationary officer Robert Shouse was decommissioned after being charged with aggravated criminal trespassing and public intoxication in a separate, unrelated matter.
