As another August cold front heads our way we will see some showers and a few t'storms push in from the west and northwest today.
Behind that front, more pleasant temperatures in the mid 80s on Tuesday (and lower humidity)with a few morning showers in east and southeast Middle Tennessee.
The overall jet stream pattern over the next 6-10 days shows a shift to a trough of low pressure in the east half of the U.S.
That means more cold fronts, and the one this weekend could be even cooler than last weekend's.
The Climate Prediction Center is changing its tune.
Although at the end of July they forecasted above normal temps for the month of August, the 6-10 Day Outlook issued on Saturday calls for below normal temperatures.
6-10 days don't make up a whole month, but if this pattern persists, we could end up cooler than normal for month when it is all averaged out.
