Delightful August Weekend; More Next Week; Perseid Meteors

Posted:

You can't ask for better weather in August!

With highs in the mid 80s today, lows in the mid to upper 50s tonight along with low humidity, we can really enjoy a break in the hot and humid summer weather.

Tomorrow's highs will be in the upper 80s, but still with low humidity.

Now get this.  There are two more cold fronts on the map.  The first should bring showers and t'storms late Monday followed by more pleasant weather Tuesday.

Even though we may see temperatures slip back into the low 90s on Wednesday and Thursday, another front should bring t'storms by Thursday or Friday followed by another pleasant weekend.

I'm not complaining, especially since there are rain chances with each front.

The Perseid Meteor Showers are in full swing, and with clear skies tonight, there should be good viewing especially if you can get away from the city lights.

The best time to look is after 10-11pm, but especially just before dawn.  Before sunrise, you should also be treated to a crescent moon with Jupiter and Venus right nearby.
