GALLATIN, Tenn. -
The Gallatin Police Department reported they have seen a recent spike in vehicle break-ins.
Authorities reported the recent thefts have primarily occurred in the East Main Historic District area, in neighborhoods off of Hartsville Pike and neighborhoods off of Maple Street and Joslin Avenue.
Police said it appears as if the thief is going through neighborhoods looking for unlocked vehicles.
Citizens are reminded to always lock their vehicles and to keep valuables such as GPS devices, cell phones and lap top computers out of plain view.
