CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
A tanker truck fire shut down a portion of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville Thursday morning.
Crews responded to the scene on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard at Center Pointe Road around 6:15 a.m.
The empty liquid nitrogen tanker caught on fire and was quickly extinguished by Clarksville firefighters.
There was no damage to the tractor or injury to the driver.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but initial responders believed the braking system may have been a contributing factor.
Wilma Rudolph Boulevard was closed for approximately one hour. The road has since reopened.
