NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after crashing on Interstate 440 westbound early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred just before 12:30 a.m. near the Hillsboro Pike exit.
According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling with a group of motorcycles when he crashed.
Emergency responders transported the man to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was last listed in critical condition.
Police told Nashville's News 2 there were skid marks at the site of the crash, but were unsure why the driver went down.
The man is expected to recover.
No other injuries were reported.
