CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
Officials in Montgomery County announced on Wednesday they have appointed Tim Clifton as the new director of the county's animal control facility.
Clifton replaces former director Karen Josephson who was let go last month following a state audit.
A county spokesperson previously reported cash management irregularities at the facility.
Clifton previously served as the interim director, as well as served as school resource officer supervisor at the sheriff's office.
