Police investigate north Nashville shooting - WKRN, Nashville News, Nashville Weather and Sports

Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg in north Nashville.

Authorities responded to the scene around 3 a.m. at a home on 17th Avenue North at Wheless Street and discovered a man in his early 20s with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Officials told Nashville's News 2 the victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to be treated for his injuries and was last listed in stable condition.

Police said neighbors heard three to four shots but did not see anything.

No further details were immediately released.
