NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A local restaurant helped raise money for the family of one of the Colorado movie theater massacre victims.

Eighteen-year-old A.J. Boik was one of the 12 killed when suspect James Holmes alleged opened fire at the crowded theater last month.

Valentino's donated 25% of their sales on Tuesday night to the family.

"I know I speak for everybody in the country, when we woke up that day and saw the news, " GM Jason Conner said. "Something had to be done. I know the nation reached out to the families of the victims and said, ‘How can we help?' Well I wanted to help especially for his family who has close ties in Nashville."

The victim's cousin is a close friend of Valentino's owners.

Anyone who would like to donate to the cause can do so by calling 615-327-0148.
