NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A 14-year-old boy walking to school was struck by a car in west Nashville Monday morning.
The accident happened just after 6 a.m. at the corner of Annex Avenue and Premier Drive.
Police told Nashville's News 2 the teen was walking along the roadway when he was clipped by the car's mirror.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
A portion of Annex Avenue was shut down for about 15 minutes while paramedics tended to the victim.
The elderly driver and the car involved were moved into a nearby parking lot.
Police said the teen was not in a crosswalk when he was hit and ruled the driver was not at fault.
No charges were filed.
