NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
After reports of a woman screaming, police found a car 20 feet down a ravine in Bellevue early Monday morning.
When officers arrived to the scene on Newsom Station Road at Settlers Way around 2 a.m., the driver was nowhere to be found.
As the tow truck came to pull the car out of the ravine, a woman walked up and said it was her vehicle.
She told police, after the crash, she was able to get out of the car and call a friend for help.
The friend picked her up and brought her back a short time later after calling police.
Police told Nashville's News 2 they were not sure what caused the driver to run off the road, but alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
The driver was uninjured.
