An online dating service is being criticized for encouraging more than just dating.
Miss Travel matches generous travelers who hate to travel alone with attractive travelers who would love the opportunity to travel the world for free.
Thousands have already signed up.
The Web site's tagline is, "Life is short and there are many places to see... so what are you waiting for?"
The site matches rich people who don't want to travel alone, with beautiful people who don't have the money to travel.
First time visitors to the Web site decide whether they are the generous or attractive. After signing up they can then browse photos and make a match.
Profiles show where the "attractive" people live and, more importantly, where they want to go.
There's no charge to register, but the rich men pay Miss Travel in order to communicate with the women.
The site launched in April and founder Brandon Wade says over 100,000 people have signed up and more than 50,000 trips have been arranged.
To critics who've asked, "Isn't this glorified prostitution?" Wade says, "We actually do not allow escorts to use our Web site."
"I employ software, as well as a team of administrators, who find escorts and kick them off every single day," he explained.
Wade says the generous and the beautiful can and should meet before going on any trip. The generous make that happen by paying to communicate with the attractive girl.
While most can tell if he or she is wealthy enough, how can one know if they're beautiful enough to use the site?
Wade says they haven't established guidelines for beauty and if someone thinks they're beautiful to sign up, they can.
