$80,000 in antiques stolen from Franklin shop

Franklin police detectives are investigating an antique store heist in which the crook stole pieces worth a combined estimated value of $80,000.

The break-in happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday at Antiques at the Factory located at 230 Franklin Road.

Police said the suspect shattered the glass of the store's front door and headed right for a case where antique rings were on display.

The suspect forced entry into the case with a hammer before stealing several items.

Detectives say that a man in the business Wednesday afternoon may be a person of interest in the case.

Anyone with information is urged to call Williamson County Crime Stoppers at 615-794-4000.
