MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

The new Islamic Center of Murfreesboro must wait a few more days for its certificate of occupancy.

County codes officials conducted a walk through inspection of the building Friday afternoon and gave the okay.

The state fire marshal, however, discovered a minor issue with a pump and will have to re-inspect the building on Tuesday.

"I mean, we're anxious," said Essam Fathy, who sits on the mosque's board of directors, "I wanted to have it today but I guess we can be patient."

He continued, "We can be patient, we've waited a long time so another two days won't be too bad."

According to Fathy, as soon as inspections are complete and a permit is issued they will start moving furniture into the building.
