Cheatham County Commissioner David Davidson was taken into police custody on Thursday night for DUI.
Authorities pulled Davidson over in the Sam's Creek area after he was reportedly driving erratically.
Officials told Nashville's News 2 Davidson was arrested after performing poorly on a sobriety test.
He was charged with driving under the influence and was transported to the Cheatham County jail.
