T'Storms are weakening in southern Tennessee as of 6:30pm. There still could be a few very isolated t'showers here and there over the next few hours, but no widespread storms for now.
While the evening hours will be humid but rain-free for most of us, we do expect a round of storms to come through in the northern counties of middle Tennessee in the overnight hours. Heavy rain, frequent lightning, hail and strong winds could accompany this batch of storm activity.
The storms could linger into Friday morning off to the north and east of Nashville. Otherwise, many of us will see a sunshine and cloud mix on Friday. Midday and afternoon could prompt a few isolated t'showers but it looks to be rain-free by evening.
High temps will back off a bit with upper 80s and near 90 degree weather. That's nice... we tied the record high of 99 today.
We will have the latest timing on tonight's approaching storm system on News 2 at 10.
