NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Just days before the start of practice, Tennessee State University has added two transfers to the Tigers roster.

Darion Hall from Miami and A.C. Leonard from Florida will both play for the Big Blue Tigers this season.

Hall is a running back from Naples, Florida.

He redshirted in 2010 and played in only game last season. Coming out of high school Rivals.com rated Hall a three-star recruit.

Leonard played just one season at tight end for the Gators. He caught eight passes for 99 yards, but peaked against rival Florida State with three catches for 65 yards.

"We saw some guys that could add depth to our program," said head football coach Rod Reed.

"A.C. Leonard was one of the top tight ends in the country coming out of high school. With the youth we have at running back, we needed a veteran presence and we decided to bring in Darion. These two young men will be valuable additions to our team."

TSU officially opens the 2012 camp on Sunday when student-athletes report.

The first practice is Monday at 9:15 a.m.
