Kentucky police search for bank robber

Kentucky police are searching for a suspect that robbed a Citizens First Bank early Monday.

Police responded to the robbery just before 10 a.m. at the bank located in the 1200 block of South Main Street in Franklin, Kentucky, just over the state line.

According to a news release, the female suspect handed the bank teller a note demanding money.

She took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a silver Honda Accord.

The car has Tennessee tags and the last two letters on the license plate are VY.

The suspect is described as five feet, six inches tall and weighs approximately 135 pounds.

She has blonde hair with an attached brown pony tail wig and is in her mid 30s to mid 40s, police said.

She was wearing a cap with a peace sign in rhinestones, glasses and a white t-shirt at the time of the robbery.
