There may not be a team in the Sun Belt Conference more anxious to get the season started than Middle Tennessee State University.
On the heels of a 2-10 record a year ago, the Blue Raiders get to work on erasing that memory when camps open Thursday.
The 2011 season saw MTSU drop its last six games. The disappointing season was punctuated by a 59-7 loss to North Texas to end the season.
On Wednesday at the pre-season football luncheon Head Coach Rick Stockstill said, "We lost our edge last year but I like this team. They are very driven."
The Blue Raiders first practice is Friday at 4:15 p.m.
MTSU will hold a fan day Sunday, August 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. T
he regular season opens Thursday, August 30 at home against McNeese State.
