Temperatures will once again soar to the mid 90s this afternoon (the exception, of course, The Cumberland Plateau). The heat index should be 100-105.
There is only a slim chance for a pop up afternoon t'shower today and tomorrow.
On Friday, an upper level disturbance could increase the scattered t'storms across the area, putting chances at 40%.
By Sunday, a front should approach from the northwest ramping storm chances to 50-60% and taking the edge off of the heat for Monday & Tuesday.
Sometimes August cold fronts can disappoint, but I'm counting on the GFS model!
