School starts Wednesday for 6 Middle Tennessee counties

First Day of School by District - 2012

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Six Middle Tennessee counties start the 2012-2013 school year Wednesday.

The August 1 start day will be a half day for students in Davidson, Smith and Maury counties.

The first full day for Davidson County students is Friday.

Dickson, Giles and Wilson counties also start the school year on Wednesday.

Police warns drivers to expect larger than average traffic volumes throughout the morning commute.
