WEST POINT, Tenn. -
A Lawrence County man was rescued Monday after crawling from the wreckage of his ultra-lite plane.
According to LawrenceburgNow.com, Mark William Kilburn broke his leg when he crashed his plane in a wooded area off Clifton Road in West Point, about two hours southwest of Nashville.
He managed to crawl from the wreckage and began calling for help.
Someone in the area finally heard his cries and called police.
Kilburn, 52, told authorities he had been crawling and calling for help for about an hour before he was located.
He was transported from the scene to Crockett Hospital.
Kilburn is expected to recover.
