FRANKLIN, Tenn. -
Franklin police are asking for the public's help identifying the woman who charged more than $11,000 to a stolen credit card.
On July 21, police said the woman used the victim's card at the Cool Springs Macy's, Target and Apple stores.
"People who commit these types of crimes and think they're going to remain anonymous are foolish," Sgt. Charles Warner said.
He added, "In today's technology we have so much video surveillance out there, and these stores are investing a lot of money and a lot of time and a lot of personnel in preventing theft."
Police said they are unsure how the suspect gained access to the victim's credit card.
"In this case, the suspect actually has physical possession of the victim's card. It's made it extremely easy for her to go in and make all these purchases," Warner said.
Police said at the time of the incidents, the suspect was accompanied by two men.
Anyone with information on the woman's identity is urged to call Franklin police at 615-794-2513 or Williamson Crime Stoppers at 615-794-4000.
A $1,000 reward is being offered.
