NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Vanderbilt is finishing the final renovations to their new football stadium. The renovations include artificial turf, lights, and a 50x72 foot HD jumbotron.
The artificial turf should be completed by this week.
Brock Williams, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Facilities and Game Operations at Vanderbilt, said that Head Coach James Franklin was very involved in the decision to go artificial at Dudley Field.
"He's played on these fields. I think he decided that this is advantageous for us," he said.
The team will now be able to use the field year-round.
The words "Anchor Down," the Commodores new slogan under Franklin, will appear in the new turf near both end zones.
