NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Police are investigating an overnight shooting that sent one man to the hospital with serious injuries.
Metro police were called to the scene late Saturday on Herman Street and 16th Avenue near Fisk University.
According to police, a woman called authorities after a man showed up to her door bleeding.
The man told authorities he was shot after someone robbed him.
Police said his injuries were serious but non-life threatening.
Police told Nashville's News 2 they are still searching for the gunman.
A suspect description was not immediately released. The investigation is ongoing.
