A man is in custody after driving through a red light and T-boning another vehicle at a south Nashville intersection Friday morning.
Officers who witnessed the crash explained, around 3:30 a.m. a Honda traveling eastbound along Harding Place was t-boned by a Toyota attempting make a left turn off of Nolensville Pike while the light was marked red.
Both drivers were able to exit their vehicles and were taken to Southern Hills Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries.
All but one of the outbound lanes were shutdown for about one and a half hours while police cleared the scene and it has since reopened.
Police told Nashville's News 2, the driver of the Toyota, 30-year-old Eloy Limeta, tested positive for driving under the influence of alcohol and cocaine.
Limeta was taken into custody and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, driving without a license, and DUI.
