NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted the wish of a Jackson, Tennessee teenager on Wednesday by giving him the opportunity to perform a show at a Nashville venue with his band and record a CD.

Seventeen-year-old Wesley Frix battles cystic fibrosis, which is a lung disease that can make breathing difficult at times.

Frix has always dreamed of performing a show with his rock band, Malesus.

On Wednesday, the teen's wish was made a reality with the help of the non-profit organization.

Frix, along with other members of the band, performed at the Red Rooster in downtown Nashville.

"I had always heard about Make-A-Wish and never knew, you know, what they really did, and they have been absolutely amazing. It's just changed my life and the band's life forever," mother Kindra said.
