NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Eleven players for the Tennessee Titans took time on Wednesday to hand deliver tickets to 48 season ticket holders.
Players Will Witherspoon, Sen'Derrick Marks, Dave Ball among others climbed aboard waiting limousines at Baptist Sports Park to make the nearly 20 stops around town.
One of the first stops was at Fire Station 17 located on West End Avenue where five firefighters received their tickets.
Captain William Dunn told Nashville's News 2 he had just returned from a fire call when he was met by Titans players Jordan Babineaux and Jason McCourty.
"When we saw the limo we knew something was up. You just don't get a limo pulling up to the fire hall every day," he said.
During the surprise visit, Titans' safety Babineaux spent time signing autographs for members of the fire department.
"We don't really know the people who are screaming for us and wishing for us to do well and have success on the football field," he said. "So [it's] a small opportunity to meet a few season ticket holders here today. You know what, I think it's rewarding for both parties."
In addition to the package of tickets, the season ticket holders were also given a large replica of a Titans game day ticket, plus a Titans jersey.
The delivery came as a result of a contest in which fans were chosen from a pool of entries.
The Tennessee Titans begin training camp Friday, July 28 at Baptist Sports Park in Nashville.
Several practices are open to fans. Many players will be on hand following each practice to sign autographs.
