Middle Tennessee rape suspect arrested in Georgia

SPRING HILL, Tenn. -

A Mid-State man wanted by Spring Hill police for rape was taken into custody by authorities in Georgia last week.

Christopher Headrick was previously indicted on two counts of aggravated statutory rape and one count of solicitation to commit aggravated statutory rape on June 13.

The 29-year-old was arrested by U.S. Marshal's at his place of employment in Fulton County last Wednesday.

Headrick is scheduled to be transported to the Williamson County Jail by Wednesday, August 1.

Authorities said he is not fighting extradition to Tennessee.

No additional information was released.
