Father of deceased motorcyclist files $7M lawsuit against driver

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The father of a motorcyclist killed in an accident late last week has filed a $7 million lawsuit against the driver of the other vehicle involved.

Forty-four-year-old Daniel Blackburn died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center following the crash which occurred on Gallatin Pike on Friday afternoon.

According to police, the driver of the SUV, Henry McGee reported he did not see Blackburn when he turned in front of the oncoming motorcycle.

No charges have been filed.

Blackburn is survived by his father, mother and brother.

He was laid to rest on Tuesday afternoon.
