NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A Spring Hill woman who was critically injured Monday night when she was hit by a car on Old Hickory Boulevard at Brentwood Chase Drive in south Nashville has died.
Officials said Ricki Uselton, 22, passed away around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she had previously been listed in critical condition.
The investigation into the accident continues, however, according to police it appears Uselton parked her Volkswagen Jetta at the entry way of Brentwood Chase Apartments around 9:15 p.m. Monday and, for reasons unknown, ran into Old Hickory Boulevard where she was hit by a Pontiac Grand Prix.
Uselton's wallet was found in the roadway, although her purse and phone were still in her car.
No charges were immediately filed against the driver of the Pontiac, 26-year-old Shawndra Moore, of Joelton.
Police said the preliminary contributing factor was Uselton's presence in the roadway.
No additional information was released.
