Man shot dead in McMinnville, Gunman added to 'Most Wanted' list

MCMINNVILLE, Tenn. -

Authorities in Warren County have identified the man wanted for fatally shooting another at an apartment complex in McMinnville last week.

Police responded to the Cotton Apartments on Cascade Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. Friday to find 29-year-old Albertano Trejo dead.

The alleged gunman has been identified as Gregorio Arenas.  An arrest warrant charging the 35-year-old man with criminal homicide has been issued.

He has also been placed on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's "Most Wanted" list.

A motive in the fatal shooting was not immediately known.

Arenas is believed to have left the area and is considered armed and dangerous.

The 35-year-old Hispanic man has black hair and brown eyes. He is five feet, three inches tall and weighs around 122 pounds.

Arenas was last seen driving a red Pontiac with Tennessee tag 555JPH.

Authorities said the license plate tag belongs to a different vehicle.
