Predators sign Sergei Kostitsyn to 2-year contract

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Nashville Predators have signed forward Sergei Kostitsyn to a two-year, $6 million contract.

Kostitsyn, 25, notched 17 goals and 26 assists in 75 games in 2011-12, one season after leading the Predators in goals with 23.

In addition to setting career highs in game-winning goals, shots and average ice time in 2011-12, the 6-foot, 196-pound right wing ranked 10th in the NHL in shooting percentage.

In 307 career NHL contests with Nashville and Montreal since 2007, the Novopolotsk, Belarus native has 64 goals and 97 assists.
